The RHS Hardiness Zone H1b rating is a classification within the Royal Horticultural Society’s hardiness scale, which is designed to help gardeners and horticulturists understand the ability of plants to withstand cold temperatures and specific climatic conditions. The RHS hardiness scale ranges from H1 (tender) to H7 (very hardy), with subcategories in between.

Zone H1b is a subcategory within the H1 (tender) zone, the category is described as Heated Glasshouse – Subtropical. Temperature range between 10 to 15 degrees C, which means that these plants can be grown outdoors in the summer in a sunny & sheltered location, but they will need to be brought indoors during the winter.

H1b zone plants do best as indoor plants or under glass all year round.

Here is a list of some H1b Zone Plants worth looking at if you have somewhere frost free to keep them during the winter months.
